Municipal costs; youth care, region
Description
This table shows the total cost of youth care by municipalities. The figures are available per municipality and can be broken down by type of youth care.
This table is compiled on the basis of data provided by municipalities to CBS in the context of the Costs and Youth Survey.
In the summer of 2019, the method of delivery of this data was adjusted. Before that time, participating municipalities delivered the costs twice a year in half a year. In the summer of 2019, we switched to one delivery moment per year, with the costs for the entire previous year being delivered. In addition, the costs for 2017 could also be provided again. In addition to this change in delivery time, the details of the request have been adjusted. As of 2017, the categories ‘total youth assistance’ and ‘other’ have therefore been added to the breakdown by means of youth care. The category “Activities in the Preventive Judicial Framework” is no longer requested. As of the 2020 request, municipalities have the possibility to provide ‘Total youth protection and probation’.

Status of the figures:
The figures for 2021 are provisional, the remaining figures are final.

— Provisional figures for 2021 have been added.
— Figures for 2020 have been finalised.
When will there be new figures?
Preliminary figures for 2022 are expected in the fourth quarter of 2023.
