Description

Legislative constituencies are the territorial framework for the election of each deputy to the National Assembly. France has 577: 539 in metropolitan France, 19 in the five overseas departments and regions (DROM), 8 in the overseas communities (COM) of Saint-Martin, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, New Caledonia, French Polynesia and Wallis-et-Futuna, and 11 for French abroad. INSEE makes available a set of economic and socio-demographic indicators, in the form of an individual sheet for each constituency and a data file for download.
