Description
The 100-kilometre-long Nord-Ostsee Canal, which was built after eight years of construction, is also valid under https://opendatarepo.lsh.uni-kiel.defgrund of its elaborate bridge and lock constructions as a marvel of engineering art in the late 19th century. The local album documents important stations and construction stages along the canal, as well as the festive inauguration in 1895.
