Description

Canadian Anchorages and Anchorage Areas is comprised of four services which include anchorage areas (ACHARE) and single ship anchorages (ACHBRT). The service is either one with points and one with polygons for each of the two types of anchorages. These files provide a comprehensive dataset of anchorages and anchorage areas extracted from Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs). As such, the geographic coverage of this dataset is limited to areas covered by CHS ENCs. The dataset is automatically updated on a weekly basis to reflect the latest available CHS ENC data.
