Departmental hiking network of Saône-et-Loire (Balades vertes)
Description
Geographic layer listing the local and inter-municipal hiking circuits from the departmental label "Balades vertes" created by the Department of Saône-et-Loire (71) in 2001. These tours are practiced both on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike over a period of half a day to a day. From 1.5 to 25 km away, they promote the heritage, landscapes, history, crafts and local products of the towns and villages of Saône-et-Loire. Only inter-municipal loops are carried out over several days.
This hiking concept also develops specialized thematic routes for the general public (fauna/flora, heritage/history, famous characters...) but also for schoolchildren as part of access to educational trails related to the environment and sustainable development (Law of 2005).
