Citizens’ forums organised by the City of Antibes
Description
Each year in Antibes a citizen’s forum open to all is organised to reflect, between experts and citizens, on a chosen theme in order to define precisely its contours and to be able to formulate concrete proposals that the Commune could put in place. This forum can give rise to post-forum retreats to deepen the synthesis work carried out. It is organised by the Development Council of the city of Antibes. Created in December 2008 at the heart of participatory democracy, this Council is part of the desire for permanent dialogue between the municipality and the inhabitants of Antibes Juan les Pins. A place for proposals and exchanges on the future of the municipality, particularly on large structuring projects, it allows the municipal team to benefit from advice and decision-making support, in a forward-looking framework. Its missions consist of reflecting, proposing solutions and issuing reasoned opinions on all major projects and technical issues that the City submits to it. He participates, through constructive proposals, in city projects and their realisation and brings his reflections on the future of the city of Antibes Juan-les-Pins. It may be referred, if necessary, to the study of priority files and make a critical analysis of them. It is also a means of information and communication with the public, in liaison with the municipality.
