Geolocation of establishments in the SIRENE directory-for statistical studies

Description

**The geolocation of establishments in the Sirene directory for statistical studies** is made available to users. The data concern the geocoding of the establishments (X,Y coordinates) with their georeferencing in the infra-communal zonings (IRIS, QPV, ZUS, QVA, see the associated documentation). > > * As of November 2023, the common codes and the clusters for statistical information (IRIS) shall use the geographical information of 2023. > * As of March 2024, geo-referencing in ZFU is no longer provided. * The **monthly** file corresponds to establishments whose **data are diffusible** and present **in the Sirene database on the 1st of the month**. * It is **uploaded on the 21st of the month** with the following geographical information: siret, coordinates (X,Y), common code, geolocation quality variables, zoning positioning (IRIS, QPV, ZUS, QVA). * Geolocation concerns **the French territory outside Mayotte** (Metropole, Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Reunion). The coding used for the metropolis follows the geodetic system RGF93 Lambert 93, for the Dom the system is different (see related documentation). * Geolocation is carried out by an application of **automatic geocoding** developed at INSEE. This is backed by a repository of geolocated addresses built from the Directory of Localised Buildings (RIL), which integrates **the geographical coordinates of the addresses positioned at the access to the building** for the purposes of the Census of Population in municipalities with more than 10 000 inhabitants, and **the geolocation of cadastral plots.** * The geolocation ** of active establishments with 200 employees or more** has been systematically **verified** by geolocation takeover managers, as well as that ** of establishments with 20 to 199 employees** for which automatic geolocation is uncertain.
