Description

This dataset contains the metadata of the French doctoral theses supported since 1985. The data are from theses.fr, the search engine for French doctoral theses. It lists all doctoral theses supported in France since 1985. The data are produced by the institutions authorised to issue the doctorate and are under their responsibility. Only French doctoral theses supported since 1985, as defined by [the Order of 25 September 1985](https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/jorf/id/JORFTEXT000000296670), [the Order of 7 August 2006](https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/loda/id/JORFTEXT000000635069/) and [the Order of 25 May 2016](https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/loda/id/JORFTEXT000032587086/), are the subject of an alert on theses.fr (and are present in this dataset).This alert constitutes a regulatory obligation.
