Erosive Alea in Languedoc-Roussillon

Description

The hazard erosion was calculated from the erosion model developed at INRA Orléans. The input data of the model are as follows: * the beat and erodibility of soils estimated from the BD of Languedoc-Roussillon soils at 1/250,000 * the topography: the slope derived from the IGN MNT at 250 m (BD Alti), * land use: Corine Land Cover updated 2000 * precipitation: height and intensity (AURHELY data — Weather France 1951-1980) * the dominant type of crop: by small agricultural region (RGA 1988, Scees) The following hazard classes have been integrated by municipalities: * 0 unaffected * 1 very low hazard * 2 low hazard * 3 medium hazard * 4 strong hazard * 5 very strong hazard * 10 urbanised areas * 11 high mountain areas * 12 wetlands * 13 no information Recall: the modeled erosive hazard is not precise enough to be used at local level (in urban planning documents type POS, PLU, or in mapping the risk zoning requested by the prefect under the implementing decree n°2005-117 of the Law of 30 July 2003 (No. 2003-699) on soil erosion). The use of more accurate soil databases is highly recommended (at least 1/250,000) to perform accurate zoning at the local level, as demonstrated in a number of studies. This data cannot be interpreted at the scale of a slope, for example. The recommended minimum unit of aggregation and interpretation of this information is indeed the municipality. ***OPenIG publishes on behalf of INRAE and both organisations discharge any responsibility for any use that may be made of the data made available. The responsibility of the Establishments is limited to the making available of the Files and their compliance with the technical specifications mentioned in the preamble of the Convention. The Establishments provided all necessary care to establish the Files. However, should errors or anomalies remain, institutions cannot be held responsible for their consequences. Similarly, the Institutions are not responsible for the use that will be made of the Files data by the Recipient.***
