Soil Agronomic Potential Class (CPAS) in Languedoc-Roussillon
Description
Initial area of agronomic potential classes aggregated at the level of the former Languedoc-Roussillon region. CPAS based on the Soil Quality Index (IQS) majority of the Soil Typological Units (UTS) aggregated by Sol Map Unit (UCS). [composition of CPAS](https://www.openig.org/sites/default/files/2021-12/cpas.png) The agronomic potential of soils is determined on the basis of information at 1/250000e and thus does not allow for a fine spatial analysis of soil quality beyond the municipal scale, on the other hand for each UCS may know the information not spatialised but detailed by UTS described by a percentage of the Soil Quality Index. This indicator shows the share of the area of an initial soil agronomic potential class (before artificialisation) in relation to the area of the reference territorial unit, the information is aggregated by UCS as described by a majority soil quality index. ***OPenIG publishes on behalf of INRAE and both bodies discharge any responsibility for any use that may be made of the data made available.
