Seats of Alzheimer's Specialist Teams (ESA) - Department of Calvados
Description
Identification of specialized Alzheimer's teams, including their headquarters, in the Department of Calvados.
Measure 6 of the Alzheimer’s Plan 2008-2012 is at the origin of the FBOs (specialised Alzheimer’s teams), set up within the SSIADs (home nursing services).
These structures accompany people with mild or moderate Alzheimer’s disease, living at home, and help their loved ones. The aim of the interventions is to allow them to stay at home for as long as possible. These procedures are carried out on medical prescription. They take place during 12 to 15 sessions spread over 3 months.
FBOs are made up of professionals trained to support people with Alzheimer’s disease.

Within the framework of its competences in the field of social action, the Department of Calvados identifies and monitors FBOs.
**Collection method**
The geographical information pole of the Department of Calvados geocoded this data and generated a vector layer of points locating the headquarters of each ESA.
