Areas of intervention of the operating centers of the departmental road agencies - Department of Calvados
Description
The Department of Calvados is responsible for the maintenance, management and construction of departmental roads and structures.
The operating centers (3 to 5 per departmental road agency on which they depend) are responsible for the maintenance and operation of departmental roads located in their area of intervention.
**Collection context**
Since 2002, the Department of Calvados has been administering a geographic information system (GIS) with a road component and regularly produces data that are spatialized in the road geographic information system (SIGR), as part of the monitoring of its management, maintenance and development policy.
**Collection method**
The Department of Calvados defines, with the support of its technical services, the areas of intervention of the road operating centers.
The geographical information pole of the Department of Calvados proceeds to the vectorization of the areas of intervention of the road operating centers from the level of detail or granularity of the vector table of the municipalities resulting from the TOPO® BD of the IGN-F (National Institute of Geographical and Forestry Information).
