Survey of the rights of way of archaeological operations (surveys, excavations) in the Department of Calvados.
Collection context
Since 1982, the year of its creation, the Archaeology Service of the Department of Calvados produces vector data from the digitization of archaeological rights-of-way, based on the plan of preventive, programmed and thematic archaeological excavations.
Collection method
The Archaeology Department, associated with the geographical information pole of the Department of Calvados, carried out the georeferencing on the ground of the rights-of-way of archaeology operations from the digitalized cadastral matrix and then integrated them into its geographic information system - GIS.
The plans of the intervention prescriptions, mass plans, prior to 2000, have been digitized and georeferenced by the Archaeology Service.
