Development of the waste prevention programme 2017
Description
The report summarises the information and analyses used as the basis for the Austrian waste prevention programme in the 2017 Federal Waste Management Plan. The objectives and measures of the Waste Prevention Programme 2017 are mainly based on a collection of current Austrian waste prevention initiatives as well as good practice initiatives from other EU Member States, an analysis of the status and impact of those measures implemented under the Waste Prevention Programme 2011 and an analysis of what measures are needed to solve the challenges ahead. Avoidance of building residues, prevention of waste in companies and organisations, prevention of waste in households, prevention of food waste and re-use.
