Description
The WMS Service (Web Map Service) called "Wastewater Treatment Plants (Q2017). Dir 91/271/EEC)" allows the visualisation and consultation of the data set representing points representing the position of treatment plants in accordance with Directive 91/271/EEC on urban waste water treatment. Information on sewage plants, their discharge points and sensitive areas has been forwarded to the European Commission in accordance with the data model specified on the EIONET website http://cdr.eionet.europa.eu/help/UWWTD/UWWTD_613 , and their content can be found on the website.
The mapping corresponds to the active treatment plants (whose data are in force and have not been decommissioned) reported in the latest monitoring report “Questionnaire 2017” containing the state of progress of Directive 91/271/EEC as of 31/12/2016 (status data as of December 2016 reported to the European Commission in 2017).
