Description
Valuing, harmonising development, promoting projects and maintaining a balance between the different uses of the city centre, are the key words of the Safeguarding and Valuation Plan (PSMV). The revision of the PSMV and its extension to reach the limit of historic ramparts is part of an urban, heritage and historical logic. A prefectural decree, which approves the revision and extension of the PSMV of the safeguarded sector, was issued on 25 July 2013. The PSMV must allow both the evolution of the plateau, the transformation of its functions over time, its adaptation to new ways of life and at the same time protect and highlight the very rich built and natural heritage that lies there. A regulation common to the whole plateau for greater urban coherence, greater enhancement and better protection has been put in place. The revision of the safeguarded sector is based on an inventory of more than 4,000 buildings, a work on the history of the building, its evolutions, its current state.
