Description
It includes layers of oceans, continents, smaller islands, rivers, lakes, geographic landmarks, bathymetry, reefs and polar caps. This is accurate and freely distributed mapping managed by Natural Earth (http://www.naturalearthdata.com). Natural Earth is a project of public access to maps that via the web offers a multitude of layers of spatialized information (raster and vector) to be used in small-scale cartographic projects. It is endorsed and controlled by various agencies and companies including the North American Cartographic Information Society and the Universities of Wisconsin-Madison and the State of Florida. In the case of European data, the participation of the Institute for Environment and Sustainability of the Joint Research Centre (European Commission) also stands out. IT MUST BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT THAT IT IS NOT INFORMATION THAT MAY BE USED AS AN OFFICIAL REFERENCE OR IN ANY EVENT IS SUCH AS ADMINISTRATIVE LIMITS, POSITIONING OF ELEMENTS AND TRACEMENTS OR SURFACES.
