Data from the Atlas of communal biodiversity in metropolitan France and overseas
Description
The Atlas of Municipal Biodiversity (ABC) program was launched in 2010 at the initiative of the Ministry in charge of the environment, and was taken over in 2017 by the French Biodiversity Agency, which became [Office français de la Biodiversity](https://ofb.gouv.fr/) (OFB) on 1 January 2020.
The site **https://abc.naturefrance.fr/** lists the ABCs financially supported by the OFB and those inventoried by the Ministry since the launch of the process. The list of ABC projects can be accessed and downloaded directly from the site.

In order to meet the objectives, the Atlas of Municipal Biodiversity gives rise to the production of three types of renderings:
1) The creation of * * field naturalistic inventories * * during which observation and monitoring data of species and/or habitats are produced. The sharing of this data is organised within the framework of the [Natural Heritage Inventory Information System](https://inpn.mnhn.fr/informations/sinp/presentation) (SINP). The data is disseminated on the sites of the [Regional Platforms](https://inpn.mnhn.fr/programme/donnees-observations-especes/references/habilitation) as well as on the SINP’s national [INPN] platform, via the [OpenObs] feature.

2) The production of * * mapping of issues * * of biodiversity which can be integrated into the planning and development projects of the territory. If the project owner does not have a cartographic platform, the sharing and dissemination of the stakes maps are carried out on the application [Carmen](https://carmen.naturefrance.fr/).
3) The production of * * publications, reports or annexes * * relating to the implementation of the ABC and the prospects arising therefrom. These documentary resources are accessible via [ABC](https://abc.naturefrance.fr/).
