The residual thickness of the sequences of the Upper Buntsandstein & Muschelkalk in the duck beak
Description
The maximum vertical thickness between the mapped horizon of the Upper Buntsandstein and the Keuper is approximately 1 250 m and is reached in the southeast of the duck beak. On the thickness distribution map, it can be seen that the formations of the Upper Bunt sandstone & the mussel limestone generally have elevated widths along the North Schillgrund disturbance. Further local maxima between 500-750 m are measured in circumferential sinks on some salt diapires.
