Surval — Data by Parameter
Description
The Surval product “Data by Parameter” makes available the observation and monitoring data bancarised in Quadrige, validated and not under moratorium.
This information system contains results on most of the physical, chemical and biological parameters of environmental description. For example, early data date from 1974 for general water quality parameters and contaminants, 1987 for phytoplankton and phycotoxins, 1989 for microbiology, from the early 2000s for benthos.

Moratorium data or “false” data are excluded from Surval dissemination. Data validated in Quadrige today will be available in Surval tomorrow.
Access to observation data is done by location. A monitoring site is a geographical location where observations, measurements and/or sampling are carried out. It is uniquely located by its cartographic right-of-way (surface, line or point). A measurement location can be used by several observation and monitoring programs.
As of 29 April 2021, in accordance with the obligations of the Open Data, all validated data without moratorium shall be distributed to J+ 1 and without processing. Thus all parameters and all Quadrige programs are broadcast, and grouped in the form of a theme:
— Benthos of which coral reefs
— Chemical contaminants and Ecotoxicology
—Waste
— Microbiology
— Phytoplankton and Hydrology
— Aquaculture resources
— Zooplankton
— Other
A theme consists of one or more acquisition programs. A programme corresponds to the implementation of a protocol, over a period and a set of places. Each programme is under the responsibility of a facilitator.
To accompany the result, many data are disseminated (downloadable as observation data), such as:
— the complete description of the “Parameter-Support-Fraction-Method-Unity”;
— the full description of the “Passages”, “Reductions” and “Samples”;
— the level of qualification of the result;
— a quotation proposal, in order to identify all the organisations contributing to this observation.
The geographical right of way is national: the metropolis and the overseas departments and regions (DROM).
