Description
Noise-repellent devices (GWV). A GWV file is created annually, which describes the situation at 31-12 of that year. The GWV file contains, among other things, the following noise-repellent objects: 1. Sound barriers 2. Sound barriers 3. Tunnel entrances 4. Deepened lying road sections. The data in the GWV file consists of: 1. Geometry of the object 2. Descriptive characteristics of the object that are important for the soundproofing function 3. Photos of the object. The reasons for the changes in the GWV file can be divided into 3 categories: 1. Newly placed facilities. 2. Changes due to the placement of smaller facilities or expansion of existing facilities. 3. Changes due to demolition of facilities.
Definition of soundproofing devices: An object is a soundproofing device if it meets the following requirements: a. The object is managed by Rijkswaterstaat. b. The object must be intended to reduce noise from traffic on the road in the area seen from the road behind the object, in most cases buildings or nature reserve. c. The object or part of the object must be within a strip of 50 meters from the nearest edge strip of 1 of the carriageways . In the latter situation, however, the entire object must be classified as GWV. d. Over a continuous part of at least 30 metres in length, measured parallel to the nearest edge stripe, the height of the object must be at least 1.0 metres in relation to the level at the location of that edge stripe. For an object with a height of at least 1.0 meters that has been placed to prevent a sound leak, for example at a portal along the road, the requirement that the object must be at least 30 meters long does not apply. e. The object must have a top angle of less than 165 degrees.
