NWB roads - Road sections history 2023 (RWS)
Description
This dataset contains all road sections from the National Road File (NWB) on the reference date 01-01-2023 and provides detailed information per road section such as street name, road number, route number, road manager, house numbers, etc.
The NWB Road File is a digital geographical file of all roads in the Netherlands. All roads managed by road authorities such as the national government, provinces, municipalities and water boards are included, but only insofar as they are provided with a street name or number. So also loose foot and bicycle paths and unpaved roads, if provided with a street name, are included in the NWB Roads. If a road has separate lanes, which is especially the case with national roads, these are processed as separate road sections in the file.
The NWB Roads file currently consists of more than 159,000 hectolitres and almost 1.5 million digitized road sections with a total length of
more than 190,000 kilometres (measurement January 2023). The NWB Roads file is updated monthly.
