Land overview map of Schleswig-Holstein 1:250 000

Description

The soil overview map of Schleswig-Holstein 1:250.000 shows the soils of the country in the form of soil societies. Each surface is associated with a dominant guide floor type and up to three subordinate soil types. The color of the map representation depends on the guide floor type. In addition to the soil types, the map contains information on the soil species stratification, the soil exit rocks and the stratigraphic position of the original rocks. The soils are described up to 2 m under terrain surface. The map is based on the Geological Overview Map of Schleswig-Holstein 1:250.000. The names of soil types (soil systemic units) and soil species refer to the soil history mapping guide (Ad-hoc-AG Boden 2005).
