Environmental value, ocean
Description
In this dataset, the Norwegian Environment Agency has collected assessments of the environmental values in our ocean areas. The distribution of species, habitats and ecosystem functions determines the environmental value of the areas. When seabirds are to nest, seals should “throw” chicks or fish to spawn, they often seek out specific, favorable places where they accumulate in large quantities. Such sites are examples of areas with great environmental value.
