GIS data of Road Countings on the departmental road of the P.O in 2020
Description
This data set shows the road counts carried out on the departmental roadway in the Pyrénées Orientales from permanent electromagnetic loops installed in the roadway or from road meters using pneumatic tubes temporarily installed on the network.
A good knowledge of road traffic throughout the department is necessary to:
— Assist in decision-making for long-term general study projects,
— Size the roads, both in their geometric characteristics and in their structure,
— Design development projects,
— Estimate the short- and medium-term traffic trends in the Eastern Pyrenees which will be taken into account in the modernisation of the road network,
— Setting up a good operation of the yards,
— Rationalise the scheduling of maintenance operations,
— Develop traffic management plans and contingency plans to be implemented in the event of a major climate event
