Algorithms implemented by the City of Antibes

Description

Law No 2016-1321 of 7 October 2016 for a Digital Republic introduced new provisions on public algorithms. These provisions aim to introduce greater transparency in the use of these systems, especially when they are used to take individual administrative decisions. Those specific obligations for the transparency of algorithms are laid down in the Code on relations between the public and the administration, in particular in Articles L. 312-1-3 and R. 311-3-1-2. They provide that if a community uses algorithmic processing (this may be a simple procedure, even non-computerised) and that, with the help (partial or total) of such processing, individual administrative decisions are taken towards natural or legal persons, then that authority must fulfil certain obligations related to the transparency of algorithms. You will find, in this game, a first version of the inventory of algorithms used by the City of Antibes, which will be regularly completed as they are collected. It contains the rules defining the main algorithmic treatments used in the performance of the city’s missions, when they make individual decisions.
