Traffic signals and scats sites locations DCC

Description

This dataset provides the geographic locations of junctions and pedestrian crossings equipped with traffic signals and/or SCATS detectors within the Dublin City Council administrative area. It forms part of Dublin City Council’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) infrastructure and supports regional traffic management and open data initiatives.

SCATS (Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System) is an adaptive urban traffic control system that synchronises traffic signals to optimise flow across a city, corridor, or region. Although the full SCATS system includes additional attributes, this dataset focuses on the core fields required for location‑based mapping and analysis.
Included Attributes:

Site_ID: A unique identifier for each traffic signal or SCATS site.

Location: A descriptive location reference for the site.

Lat / Long: Geographic coordinates (latitude).

Long: Geographic coordinates (latitude), enabling spatial mapping of each site.
