National Directory of Professional Qualifications and Specific Directory

France compétences has the responsibility entrusted by the legislator to register, update and make legible the qualifications entered in the Répertoire national des certifications professionnelles (RNCP) and the Répertoire spécifique (RS) des certifications et des habilitations.

The qualifications recorded in RNCP (classified by level of qualification and field of activity) make it possible to validate the skills and knowledge acquired, necessary for the exercise of professional activities. They are made up of blocks of competences: homogeneous and coherent sets of competences, which can be assessed and validated, which must allow the autonomous exercise of a professional activity.
The qualifications registered in RS correspond to additional skills: security clearances, professionalising certification, transversal skills.
