Road inspection areas

Description

The Road Inspection Department of the Road and Civil Engineering Office checks and maintains public roads, paths, squares and road drainage systems with regard to their condition and road safety, and monitors the work of third parties (e.g. excavations) on the road network. The city of Dresden is divided into three road inspection areas, which are shown in the map. The I. Road Inspection is responsible for the area south of the Elbe between the B 170 and the eastern city border. The area of II. Road inspection extends from the city limits southwest of the railway body of the Dresden - Radebeul railway line, from Dresden-Pieschen station southwest of the railway body of the old freight line Dresden-Pieschen - Dresden-Neustadt, from Eisenbahnstraße west of the railway body to Hauptbahnhof, from Hauptbahnhof west of the B 170 to Stadtgrenze. The area of III. Road inspection is located north of the Elbe between the eastern city border and Marienbrücke. From Marienbrücke the border runs along the railway body of the railway line, from Eisenbahnstraße of the railway body of the old freight line Dresden-Pieschen - Dresden-Neustadt, from Pieschen station of the railway body of the railway line Dresden - Radebeul to the city border.
