Water planning and management schemes (SAGE) in Burgundy-Franche-Comté
Description
The Water Planning and Management Schemes (SAGE) set out, in a sub-basin grouping or sub-basin corresponding to a hydrographic unit or aquifer system, the general objectives of balanced water management in order to comply with the principles listed in Article 1 of the Water Act No. 92-3 of 3 January 1992. Objectives: In particular, the SAGE shall set, in accordance with the guidelines set out in the relevant Master Plan (SDAGE), the objectives for the protection of aquatic ecosystems and water resources, the use and development of these resources and the preservation of wetlands, for all resources within their respective perimeters and for all uses used therein, in order to meet present and future needs. Procedure: The establishment of a SAGE consists mainly of four major successive phases: 1\. The emergence phase of SAGE 2\. The appraisal phase of the project: delimitation of the perimeter of the SAGE fixed by prefectural decree. 3\. The development phase of the project: establishment of the CLE Local Water Commission and design of the SAGE itself. 4\. The implementation and monitoring phase of the SAGE (SAGE developed and approved)
