Municipalities sensitive to air pollution in Burgundy
Description
The analysis of Burgundian territory highlights some municipalities considered sensitive to air quality (i.e. for which limit values are or are at risk of being exceeded). On the one hand, the agglomerations of Dijon and Chalon-sur-Saône, where exceedances of the air quality standards observed on the measuring stations require the realisation of PPAs (atmospheric protection plans), and on the other hand municipalities located mainly along major roads. In total, this concerns 89 municipalities and nearly 500,000 inhabitants. The Regional Climate Climate Plan of Burgundy plans to integrate air quality into public policies and, in these municipalities identified as sensitive, the air problem will have to be prioritised in the arbitration of planning choices.
