Facade renovations subsidized by the City of Antibes
Description
On 4 March 2002, the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Antibes approved the establishment of a municipal subsidy perimeter for facade renovation in the Old City sector in order to meet the following objectives:
- Improve the appearance of buildings;
- Develop the maintenance of buildings;
- Harmonise the urban landscape;
- Make the Old City attractive both touristically and commercially.
This policy of aid for renovation was renewed for a period of three years by resolution of 19 December 2014 and made it possible, between 2002 and 2016, to enhance the private heritage of the Old Centre by participating in the renovation of the facades of 128 buildings (10% of the buildings in the Old Centre) with municipal aid of EUR 446 096.
At the sitting of 1 December 2017, the Assembly deliberated on the policy of embellishment of facades. Thus, the municipality is continuing its action to help renovate the facades of the private building stock by offering a subsidy, over two areas, for a limited period of five years, until 31 December 2022.
