Description
Inspire Dataset of the Forest Function Climate Protection Forest in Baden-Württemberg. Climate protection forest protects settlements, roads, recreation facilities and agricultural areas from cold air damage and adverse wind impacts (local climate protection forest) and improves the climate of neighboring settlement areas and open spaces through large-scale air exchange (regional climate protection forest). Forest also protects downstream areas from wind impacts. In case of dense obstacles, e.g. also in forest, additional turbulence can arise. The forest therefore also contributes to air mixing at the same time.
