Description
The police prefecture of Paris, with 34000 officers under the direct authority of the prefect of police, provides security in Paris and the agglomeration of Paris. The State spends around EUR 1.6 billion per year on it. In addition, EUR 627 million, mainly financed by local authorities and devoted mainly to the Paris Fire Brigade within a special budget of the city of Paris.
Over the period 2009-2018, the Court examined the organisation and management of the police prefecture, as well as the exercise and results of its three main missions: public security, judicial police and public order.
