Tests hitchhiking val de Drôme 2018-2019
Description
The community of communes of the Val de Drôme conducted 150 hitchhiking tests on its territory. These tests were carried out by 2 teams of volunteers in team service accompanied by 2 employees (14 people in total).
We have taken over the method built by the association AutosBus de l’Ain https://www.autosbus.org
The purpose of these tests is to answer three questions:
−What is the effectiveness of hitchhiking for commuters?
Do the current results of hitchhiking make it possible to anticipate the effectiveness of a future day-to-day carpool system?
Can we consider a gradual transition from hitchhiking to daily carpooling?
With the association AutosBus we published a summary of the results of hitchhiking tests carried out in Ain and Drôme.
