Federal Agency for Nature Conservation: Seabird monitoring sightings (WFS)
Description
WFS Downloaddienst includes the individual sightings in the German offshore areas for the bird species: {Artname} {(Artname wiss.)}. Individual layers show the spread of the species divided into seasons for individual monitor ring years. The data are based on seabird recordings carried out as part of the BfN monitoring programme. The surveys are carried out by the German Avifaunists Association (DDA). A more nutritious description of the methodology can be found in the monitoring report of the BfN (https://www.bfn.de/seevoegel). The observation data is presented in the form of products, with the point size of the number of individuals observed.
