Cooling effect of green and blue
Description
You can see the cooling effect of green (trees, etc.) and blue (water) in urban areas. The urban heat island effect ensures that the air temperature does not drop at night, causing sensitive populations (babies, children, the elderly) to experience health effects. Vegetation and water can provide cooling. It is useful to know where suitable vegetation is already present. This is important, among other things, for urban designers and climate adaptation policy officers.
