Wave map based on oribital velocity soil for the Zoute Ecotopenkaart Waddenzee 2017
Description
An ecotope map has been made of the Wadden Sea using 2017 as a map. This salty ecotope map is built up by merging several layers of information from the intertidal area: soil altitude map (height and depth), geomorphological map, dry fall duration map, flow velocity map, wave map and salt map. The wave information is based on maximum orbital velocities at the bottom and is calculated using the SWAN coastal strip model using a curved grid.
