Description
The instructions for opening purchase invoice data are intended for municipalities and joint municipal authorities that want to open their purchase invoice data as open data for anyone to use. The new guide replaces the corresponding guide published in 2016. Opening purchase invoice data is voluntary for municipalities and joint municipal authorities, i.e. there is no obligation to do so under the Act.
However, opening up data can be useful and promote the municipality’s openness, thereby strengthening democracy and supporting the municipality’s cost-conscious operating model. Opening purchase invoice data from municipal financial administration systems in a format that is easier to use and accessible to anyone can also contribute to planning and managing the municipality’s own operations.
