Mecklenburg-Vorpommern - Lübtheen - P02 - Overview - Forest fire in June/July 2019

This map shows at different times active fires in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim southeast of Lubtheen. The fires were detected on the basis of satellite images taken between 30 June and 3 July 2019 by the Suomi-NPP (VIIRS) and Terra and Aqua (MODIS) satellites. The fire area (726ha) was provided by the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS). In the background is a GeoEye-1 image taken on July 1, 2019 (10:45 UTC).
