Description

The purpose of the National Register of Elected Officials (RNE) is to monitor the holders of an electoral mandate. It is informed and maintained by the prefectures and by the departments of the Ministry of the Interior, in particular on the basis of the information provided by the elected representatives during the registration phase of applications. The NRN data are structured by mandate. Twelve files are published here: 1. district councillors; 2. municipal councillors; 3. Community advisers; 4. departmental advisers; 5. regional advisers; 6. members of assemblies of special status communities; 7. representatives in the European Parliament; 8. Senators; 9. Members; 10. mayors; 11. advisers to French nationals abroad; 12. members of the Assembly of French Abroad. **Compared to the initial data, the following changes have been made:** * the data has been grouped into a single file keeping only the fields in common; * persons appear only once and are identified by their first name, surname and date of birth; * fields have been calculated (age, number of mandates and positions held); * the data has been standardised with ISO dates and a standard file format (CSV encoded in utf-8). For missing data (e.g. common codes or departments), they may be reintegrated in a future version.
