Basis of polluted soils

Description

BASOL is a basis established by the [MTES](https://www.ecologique-solidaire.gouv.fr/), identifying (potentially) polluted sites and soils requiring preventive or curative intervention by the public authorities. Here is the definition of a polluted site available on the [BASOL website](https://basol.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/accueil.php): > A polluted site is a site which, as a result of former waste deposits or infiltration of polluting substances, presents a pollution likely to cause a nuisance or a lasting risk to people or the environment. ’ > These situations are often due to past summary waste disposal practices, but also to leaks or application of chemicals, whether accidental or not. There are also contaminations around some sites due to the fallout of atmospheric releases accumulated over the years or even decades. ’ > Pollution has a concentrated character, i.e. often high levels and on a small area (a few dozen hectares at most). It differs from diffuse pollution, such as those caused by certain agricultural practices or the fallout of car pollution near major roads. ’ > Due to the industrial origin of pollution, the legislation relating to classified installations is the most commonly used regulation to deal with the corresponding situations. ### Access to the official base Article L312-1-1 of the Code of Relations between the Public and Administration (CRPA) stipulates that administrations are obliged to publish online “*data, regularly updated, whose publication is of economic, social, health or environmental interest*”. Article L300-4 of the CRPA adds that the data must be published “in an open standard, easily reusable and usable by an automated processing system*”. The MTES offers only one industrial site consultation per industrial site, without allowing the complete download of the database, necessary for automated processing. ### Description of the proposed game The game proposed here is the result of an artisanal consolidation, not carried out by the MTES. ### Documentation The best available documentation is available on the [official website](https://basol.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/accueil.php).
