Description
Representation of icing boundaries and the position of moraine structures on the geological map of Lower Saxony 1 : 50 000.
The depiction of the glaciation boundaries traces the maximum distribution of ice age glaciers in Lower Saxony. In the upper resin, the range of the self-glaciation of the resin during the Vistula cold period is shown. For the other areas of Lower Saxony, the general icing limit provides information on the maximum range of the inland ice in the Pleistocene. With the end and upset moraines in the Saale area, the distribution and location of characteristic and distinctive end and residence stages of significant advances of Saale-age inland ice is shown.
This data is line information that is stored digitally and, if necessary, combined with the geological data of the GK50 base map.
Only in connection with the geological information in the background, for example, the dynamics and distribution of the cold-age ice advances in Lower Saxony can be grasped.
