Severe weather warnings

Adverse Weather Phenomena: atmospheric events that can affect the safety of people and material goods, or significantly alter human activity.

The National Prediction and Monitoring Plan for Adverse Weather Phenomena (Meteoalerta) provides updated information about these phenomena up to 72 hours in advance and tracks their development.

An adverse weather phenomenon warning is the minimum information unit issued when specific thresholds are forecast or observed for various phenomena such as rainfall, snowfall, winds, among others.

Each warning includes: start and end date and time, value, level, probability, forecast/observed indicator, and comments.
