Access to public services in rural areas
Description
At the request of the National Assembly’s Public Policy Review and Review Committee, the Court of Auditors conducted a survey on access to public services in rural areas. Its report is accompanied by territorial notebooks analysing the situation in intercommunalities of Aisne, Ardèche, Cher, Corrèze, Côte-d’Or, Creuse, Haute-Saône and Vosges. The offer of services in territories in demographic decline must evolve in order to meet the new needs arising there, and thus ensure equal access to public services throughout the territory, it being understood that physical access to public service does not guarantee the quality of the service offered to the user.
