Coastal Gazetteers: names

The coastal gazetteer is a tool that documents the geographical names in the German coastal zone. The central components include a place name register, which can be integrated as a web service into a geoportal and an integration into the metadata collection.

These data describe the different naming in the local languages (multilingualism) of structures in the Wadden Sea, which are documented in maps (historical management) and are part of the Coastal Gazetteer Service.
