Base Local Address of the Metropolis of Lyon (BAL)
Description
This data is generated from the database for the management and administration of track and address data in metropolitan France.
The BAL (Local Address Base) format conforms to the standard defined by the AITF and used to feed the BAN (National Address Base).
The BAL format we broadcast deviates slightly from the standard model:
- Location of localities,
- Location of named lanes without number
The main operations involved in compiling this batch of data are:
- Reconstitution of complete addresses from the production database,
- Data formatting to match the requirements of the BAL model,
- Operation of numbering points,
- Generation of points to the centroid of localities,
- Generation of points on the route frame in the centre of each lane without a number,
- Point typing (entry, segment, centroid),
- Generation of x/y coordinates in Lambert 93 and lat/long coordinates in WGS84.
This data is available for download in two formats:
- A CSV file meeting the BAL standard,
- A ZIP file containing the time-stamped CSV file.
