Electoral District Boundaries

Description

Legislative constituencies are the territorial framework for the election of each deputy to the National Assembly, deputies elected by direct universal suffrage for a renewable term of 5 years (unless the legislature is interrupted by a dissolution, article 24 of the Constitution). This division was seized by SIGU on the basis of documents sent by the prefecture through the election service of the City of Le Havre. A new division of the legislative districts of France was established by the two ordinances of 29 July 2009, ratified by the two Chambers on 19 and 21 January 2010, validated by the Constitutional Council on 18 February 2010, and published in the Official Journal on 23 February. The new electoral map has been in force since the 2012 parliamentary elections.
