Nature reserves Landkreis Nordsachsen
Description
The metadata record describes all legally binding areas in which special protection of nature and landscape is required in their entirety or in individual parts for the conservation, development or restoration of habitats, biotopes or communities of certain wild animal and plant species, for scientific, natural history or land history reasons or because of their rarity, particular peculiarity or excellent beauty (Section 23(1) of the Federal Nature Conservation Act). Currently, there are in the Lkr. North Saxony 15 areas with a total area of approximately 78.55 square kilometres. Responsible for the expulsion is the Landratsamt Nordsachsen as Lower Nature Conservation Authority.
