Description
Waters affected by nitrate pollution from agricultural activity. This is basic information for the declaration of Vulnerable Areas in accordance with Royal Decree 47/2022 of 18 January 2022 on the protection of waters against diffuse pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources and Directive 91/676/EEC concerning the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources ("Nitrates Directive").
The identification of these waters is based on the information contained in the progress report notified to the European Commission on the application of the directive in the four-year period 2016-2019. This information reflects, without modification, the information on the quality of the notified waters nitrates and, in particular, those of agricultural origin, as well as of the waters that could be affected by such pollution if appropriate measures are not taken.
